SoulCalibur IV box art4/9/2024 Giving a fighting game the ability to drastically change cloths/custom/gear and thus reducing their identifiable characteristics was a horrible idea and one that made me stop caring for Namco fighting franchises. The Soul Calibur and Tekken franchises really need to move away from their generic character models that started with tekken 5 and go back to tekken 3 where each character was unique and identifiable. The rest of the cast might as well be generic 3d models because nothing about them are unique or distinct. The blades are on a collision course with an ancient king, and only the player can prevent him. The only distinguishing characters I associate with Soul Calibur now is Nightmare and that is because of his unique design. Soulcalibur IV continues the perpetually recounted story of souls and swords, telling the story of the swords Soul Edge and Soul Calibur and those who desire to possess or destroy them.
